Terms & Conditions

Definition

  • Agreement means the quotation, acceptance and the following terms and conditions.

  • Work or works means behaviour consultation, private training, Structured Training Walks and group classes. It may also describe other services such as administrative, training meetings and other tasks which are necessary in the creation of the program.

  • Alix & the Pack means Alix & the Pack and it can also extend to Alexandra Kim Sharp, Natalie Buhl-Nielsen, Sophia Martínez-Menley, Sarah Wronke, Nikita Saby, Frederikke Frandsen and Fanni Claudia Kertesz.

  • The Client means the individual who requested the work.

Service fees

Client agrees to pay Trainer the service fee within seven days of the invoice being sent after each session.

​

Dog's health

Client warrants that Dog is physically fit and in good health, and free of fleas, parasites and infectious diseases. Client has an active Insurance for their dog that covers medical expenses.

Restrictions on Carrying Weights & Pets

Per the guidelines outlined in At-vejledning D.3.1, employees are strictly prohibited from transporting dogs or equipment exceeding 10 kilograms in weight, inclusive of traversing stairs, whether ascending or descending.

Copyright

All material, both text and images included in documents are the property of Alix & the Pack.

 

Alix & the Pack holds copyright of all work created.

Photo release

Client grants to Trainer, and/or its representatives and employees, the right to take photographs of Client's Dog, and to copyright, use and publish the same in print and/or electronically. Client agrees that Trainer may use such photographs of Client's Dog with or without my name and for any lawful purpose, including, for example, such purposes as publicity, illustration, advertising, and Web content.

Dog training services

Trainer agrees to provide private lessons for Client and Dog on a lesson-by-lesson basis, the goal being to teach Client how to train and work with Dog. Trainer will make every reasonable effort to help Client achieve training and behavior modification goals but makes no guarantee of Dog’s performance or behavior as a result of providing professional animal behavior consultation. Client understands that he/she and members of the household must follow Trainer’s instructions without modification, work with dog daily as recommended, and constantly reinforce training being given to Dog.

Structured Training Walks

Client agrees to have Dog collected for Structured Training Walk at the time allocated to the Client when they were approved for Structured Walks. Client agrees Structured Walks are a fixed, weekly service that the Client must commit to.

Private Programmes

The Puppy Programme, The Reactivity Programme, The Separation Anxiety Programme, The Anxious Rescue Dog Programme, The Demanding Dog Programme & the Back to Basics Programme all have a expiry date. The expiry date for all programmes are 8 weeks from when the invoice has been paid.

Cancellation Policy

If Client fails to give at least 24 hours cancellation notice, or is not present at time of scheduled appointment, session fees are still due. For a package deal, the session will still be counted as one session.

Boarding / Pet Sitting​

​

1. Booking Confirmation:

   - A non-refundable deposit equivalent to half of the total boarding fee is required to secure your reservation.

   - Deposits must be received at least two weeks prior to the scheduled start date of boarding.

 

2. Payment:

   - The remaining balance is due upon drop-off or before the commencement of the boarding period.

   - Failure to make the full payment may result in the cancellation of the reservation.

 

3. Cancellation and Refunds:

   - The deposit is non-refundable under any circumstances.

   - Cancellations made less than one week before the scheduled start date will incur the full boarding fee.

 

4. Health and Vaccinations:

   - All dogs must be up-to-date on vaccinations and be in overall good health.

   - Proof of vaccinations must be provided before the start of boarding.

 

5. Emergency Veterinary Care:

   - In the event of a medical emergency, every effort will be made to contact the owner. However, the owner authorises Alix & the Pack to seek veterinary care for the dog, and all associated costs will be the responsibility of the owner.

 

6. Behaviour and Socialisation:

   - Alix & the Pack reserves the right to refuse or terminate services to any dog exhibiting aggressive or harmful behaviour towards staff, other dogs in our care or property.

 

7. Personal Belongings:

   - Owners are encouraged to provide familiar items such as bedding, toys and food for their dogs during the boarding period.

   - Alix & the Pack is not responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings.

 

8. Pick-up and Drop-off:

   - Dogs should be dropped off and picked up during the agreed-upon times.

   - Late pick-ups may incur additional fees.

 

9. Communication:

   - Owners are responsible for providing accurate contact information, and Alix & the Pack will communicate important updates or concerns via the provided contact details.

 

10. Photography and Social Media:

    - Alix & the Pack may take photographs of dogs during their stay for promotional purposes unless the owner explicitly requests otherwise.

 

By using Alix & the Pack Dog Boarding / Pet Sitting Service, you agree to these terms and conditions. Alix & the Pack reserves the right to update these terms at any time.

Release of Liability and Indemnification

Client expressly acknowledges and understands that Trainer’s services will be provided in an environment where certain hazards may exist, including, but not limited to, debris in the training area, other animals and their owners, training equipment, water, and other natural hazards. Client expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Trainer and Trainer’s agents and to pay all losses and damages suffered or incurred, and to defend and indemnify Trainer and Trainer’s agents from any claims, demands, lawsuits, losses, costs or expenses, including attorney fees, arising out of or in connection with the provision of Trainer’s services to Client and/or Dog. If Dog causes property damage, or bites or injures any dog, animal or person (including but not limited to Trainer and Trainer’s agents), during or after the term of this Agreement, then Client agrees to pay all resulting losses and damages suffered or incurred, and to defend and indemnify Trainer and Trainer’s agents from any resulting claims, demands, lawsuits, losses, costs or expenses, including attorney fees. If Dog is injured in a fight or in any other manner during or after the term of the Agreement, Client assumes the risk and agrees that Trainer should not be held responsible for any resulting injuries, losses, damages, costs or expenses.

Refund Policy

There are no refunds for Single Private Sessions or any Courses we offer at Alix & the Pack.

As soon as you become an active member of Alix & the Pack and sign up to our community space, we kindly ask you to embrace our shared commitment to creating a positive and respectful environment. Our community is built on a foundation of trust, support and a common love for our canine companions. To ensure that everyone enjoys their experience here, please familiarise yourself with and abide by the following rules and guidelines:

  1. Mutual Trust & Privacy: Being part of this group requires mutual trust. Authentic, expressive discussions make groups great, but they may also involve sensitive and private topics. Please remember that what's shared within the group should stay within the group, respecting the privacy and trust of fellow members.

  2. Respect & Kindness: We are all in this together to create a welcoming environment. Let's treat everyone with respect. Healthy debates are natural and encouraged, but kindness is required in all interactions. Disagreements should be expressed respectfully, and personal attacks will not be tolerated.

  3. Positive Training Techniques: We are not here to criticise or hate on each other's training techniques. Our community promotes the use of positive and aversive tools and techniques that prioritise the well-being and happiness of our canine companions. Let's uplift and encourage one another as we strive to provide the best training for our dogs.

  4. Constructive Feedback: If you have insights or suggestions related to training techniques, please share them constructively. Offer advice and guidance with the intention of helping others improve their training methods rather than criticising. Remember, we're all here to learn and grow together.

  5. Inclusivity: We welcome members from diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives. Be inclusive and considerate of differing viewpoints. Discrimination, harassment, or exclusionary behaviour will not be tolerated.

  6. Stay on Topic: While we encourage lively discussions, please keep your posts and comments relevant to the community's focus on dog training, care, and well-being.

  7. Report Concerns: If you come across any content or behaviour that violates these guidelines or makes you uncomfortable, please report it to the group administrators promptly. We are committed to maintaining a safe and supportive community for all.

'The Dog Gym' Membership

By enrolling, The Client expressly acknowledge and agree that 'The Dog Gym' shall not be held responsible for any injuries, accidents, or incidents involving their dogs while within the facility. The Clients are expected to provide diligent supervision during their dogs' activities.

Furthermore, The Client understands and accepts that 'The Dog Gym' disclaims any liability for damages, injuries, or losses arising from the utilisation of training equipment or any other amenities on the premises. It is imperative for The Client to exercise prudence and adhere to all safety protocols outlined by 'The Dog Gym.'

To uphold the health standards of all attending dogs, The Client is required to provide accurate and current veterinary documents affirming their dogs' good health status. 'The Dog Gym' reserves the right to deny facility access if the provided documentation is deemed outdated or incomplete.

In recognition of the inherent risks associated with dog training activities, The Client hereby releases 'The Dog Gym' and its personnel from any and all liability pertaining to injuries, illnesses, or damages that may occur during their dogs' participation in any facility-related endeavours.
