Scent Work

“Our Lagotto has an amazing nose, so we play treat games at home!”
“We can’t let our Beagle off-leash—his nose takes over and he’s gone.”
“Do you think my Bulldog could even do scent work?”

We’ve heard it all. And here’s the truth:
Yes, your Lagotto can sniff out chanterelles for dinner.
Yes, your Beagle can finally put that nose to work—in a way that’s safe, structured and fun.
And yes, your Bulldog absolutely can try scent work.

Scent work is for every dog. It taps into their natural instincts, channels their energy into something constructive and builds a stronger bond between you and your dog. Whether you're after enrichment, a new hobby or dreaming of chanterelle hunting — we’ve got something for you.

Detection Course

  • 3 private sessions held at your home and in your local area

  • DKK 3,700 for the full course

  • Eligibility to join our ongoing Detection Group Classes

  • By the end of the course, you and your dog will have learned to:

    • Imprint on a specific scent — chanterelle mushrooms

    • Hunt for that scent with structure and intention

    • Clearly indicate when the scent has been found

We’ve chosen chanterelle mushrooms not just because they smell divine, but because they’re actually out there — in Danish forests, waiting to be found. This means your dog can put their new skills to use in real-world scenarios, and you just might end up with a gourmet dinner out of it.

Detection Group Class

Only for dogs who’ve completed our private detection course.

So your dog’s been imprinted on chanterelles — now what?

Our Detection Group Classes are designed to build on the foundation you’ve already established. These sessions offer real-world distractions, more complex searches and the chance to refine your dog’s skills in a dynamic, challenging environment.

DKK 250 per session, booked individually

  • Held at our farm in Helsinge (postal code 3200)

  • We provide all detection equipment, including DST scent pipes and search containers

  • You’ll practice:

    • Imprinting and advanced search patterns

    • Outdoor field searches across varied terrain

    • Blind searches, where you don’t know where the chanterelle is hidden

    • Working around distractions from other dogs — a rare and valuable training opportunity

Whether you're continuing for fun, looking to build your dog’s stamina, or working toward reliable off-leash searching, these classes are a great next step.
